Photos

We are just finishing up a pizza dinner at Sicily's in Damascus and they happen to have a public access computer here. It has a very fast connection and moreover, Active X capability so we can upload more than 5 pictures at a time (what we were doing at the library). So feel free to look through our "Trip Photos" gallery for pictures of our adventures from the last few weeks. We're off again in the morning. We'll most likely finish our stay in Damascus with another Dairy King milkshake. Happy trails!

Hi Guys,

We hope that you are well and moving along.

I just returned from the Troop 215 AT hike and wanted to drop you a line. I only did the first 50 miles, and I must say that I have the utmost respect for what you are doing.

We had a pick up and resupply today at VA road 606. I hid a box with your names on it just before the road. You will see an AT "registration" box on your right, it's the only one that I noticed over the past few days. I marked the box with pink tape. If you go about one hundred feet straight back from that box, you will see an uprooted tree. Your package is in the hole that was made when the tree toppled over. Just look for a black trash bag sealed with orange drawstrings. Be careful reaching into the hole, you never know what's around there.

If you cross the road and come upon a rather large suspension bridge, you have gone too far. The package is back across the road and about one hundred yards back up the hill on your left.

I wish you the best! Mr. Haeseker and Mazur send their regards.

Spencer, we met last year on the troop hike (I came up for the last 30. Do you remember the mousetrap? My sons Danny and David are in the Troop.

Good luck to you.
